We have been contacted about Bury Festival of Art 2025 by Katie Stansfield from Bury Art Museum to say that the museum will be the central Art Hub – a shared venue where artists can exhibit together - for Bury. The hub approach is designed to boost footfall and encourage visitors to explore multiple locations throughout the weekend.
The museum would be delighted to invite us to exhibit with them, particularly as our Annual Exhibition will be on display in Gallery D. In recognition of this, they would like to offer that space to Bury Art Society to host workshops and talks throughout the duration of the festival.
I have also been contacted by Lynn Kirkley to invite us to have tables at Greenmount Old School as we did last year on Sunday 12 October only.
I managed to speak to some of you about this opportunity last night, but what I now need to know is:
- Could you give a workshop (basic level) on Saturday October 11 at the Museum, or Sunday 12th depending how this all works out?
- Would you like to display/sell your work in a tabletop exhibition/fair on Sunday 12 at Greenmount or depending on what is arranged, at the Museum?
